The main purpose of the website was to show potential clients COS’s exceptional work, as most of their business is through referrals and word of mouth. Usually we optimise images for site speed first and foremost, but in this case we sacrificed a tiny amount of speed for large and beautiful images. It was also important that the website design was clean and simple and did not detract from the portfolio images.

Focus on Website Form and Function
For clients with limited budgets we start with an immaculately coded, responsive WordPress theme. Where required we research, test and use the best and most compatible plugins to extend the theme functionality. We use the theme to it’s best and build websites with clear navigation and well laid out pages. We select a Google font and create a colour palette in keeping with the client’s existing logo. We use our client’s own graphics and images or we source them on behalf of our clients from iStock or Adobe Stock.
